Since 1985, Marcel Gisler has been producing remarkable films celebrating international success. Gisler is an exceptional phenomenon: living in Berlin, he has been the most significant Swiss voice in Queer cinema for over 20 years.

In collaboration with Frameline San Francisco, the Pink Apple Film Festival Zurich, the largest and most important LGBT film festival in Switzerland, organizes screenings of Marcel Gisler's four latest works.

Fogi is a bastard
Beni, aged sixteen, from Zurich falls in love with rock musician Fögi who is eight years his senior. It is Beni’s first great love. Filled with passion, he allows his mentally torn boyfriend to humiliate him and treat him as his “slave” and “dog“. Beni even goes as far as prostituting himself to finance their life together and Fögi’s drug addiction. When Fögi’s band dissolves and his best friend, Töbe, commits suicide, Fögi’s mental and physical state deteriorate rapidly, and even Beni finds it increasingly difficult to hold on to his admiration for his erstwhile idol.

On Wednesday, October 24, 6pm you also have the opportunity to attend a unique encounter with Marcel Gisler.
